  1. Setup: Upgrade macOS and Xcode
    • To use the Google Gemini CLI to complete your culminating task, you will need to upgrade macOS to version 26.5 and Xcode 26.5 as well.
  2. Setup: New Xcode Templates
    • File templates will help you when adding new files to an existing project by providing a more complete starting point.
    • Project templates will be less useful at this point in the year, but still nice to have.
  3. Setup: Installing the Google Gemini CLI
    • These instructions do not take long to complete.
    • Once finished, Gemini will be able to directly read and edit files in your project, based on prompts you provide.
      • This is much faster than working with an LLM in a web browser and copy-pasting code around.
  4. Task: Culminating
    • Begin the culminating task.
